Roberts AIPMC Partakes in the 2014 Manila International Auto Show

The Manila International Auto Show On April 3-6 2014 from 10AM-10PM, the World Trade Center in Pasay City opened its doors for car buyers and enthusiasts alike for the annual Manila International Auto Show. The event celebrated its 10th year of providing a rich display of automobiles, which included the launching of the Rolls-Royce Wraith. Organized by Worldbex Services International (WSI), tickets were sold at P100 for ABS CBN Foundation Inc. Last year, the event had over 400 car displays, over 500 exhibitors, and more than 96,000 visitors. This year, they aimed higher. More exhibitors, more new cars, more new models, more enthusiasts, more fun! The exhibit had four areas; first was the main area, where both well-established and new car brands displayed their line-up of models. Nine new car models have officially made their debut in the Philippine market, and other new car models were launched by Ford, Subaru, TATA, Volkswagen, Kia, Chery, and other manufacturers. New Car Models

Among the most noted newly-launched models were the new Subaru Impreza models, and let’s not forget the upcoming Ford Escape 2015, which hopefully becomes available by the end of the year. There were also a series of stunt shows by Russel Swift, a world-renowned, Guinness Record-breaking British precision driver in this area. Next was the motorcycle area. The organizers decided to partner up the Motorcycle Program Participants Association Inc., to include motorcycle models from brands such as Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and Kymco in their line-up this year.

The third area featured car accessories and other automobile products such as manufacturers of mufflers, car seats, and batteries. Among the manufacturers was Roberts Automative & Industrial Parts Manufacturing Corporation, distributor of German technology TIGER Leaf Springs. They featured the two design options that only they can offer; one is the multi-leaf spring assembly, and the other the parabolic leaf assembly. Both are equally as durable and strong, so the choice depends entirely on the need of the user. They also noted that these were the first Parabolic Leaf springs for heavy duty performance in the Philippines, and is now widely used in different vehicles such as trucks, utility vehicles, and buses. The last area featured the flashy car show. Around a hundred vintage and custom cars were parked and lined up for the Custom and Classic Car Competition for the chance to win the “Best of Show” award. It also provided other enthusiasts a chance to come face-to-face with both unique custom cars and old school cars of the past. According to blogs, tweets, and photos uploaded by those who were able to catch the show, MIAS 2014 was a huge success! For more highlights of the show, click here.
